Mrs Wordsmith is an innovative education company that combines teacher-led learning with Hollywood-level animation. Founded in 2015, we create engaging educational games, books, and apps aiming to empower children aged 3-13, stimulate their love for reading and boost their self-expression.
Role Summary:
- Innovate in the world of print design that sits at the intersection of education and entertainment.
- Understand and apply the brand visual identity consistently across all projects.
- Design, template, and prepare print-ready files for everything from books to apparel and stationery.
Role Requirements:
- Must have a degree in graphic design, visual communication, or related field.
- At least 5 years of experience in creative roles focusing on print products.
- Advanced knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign).
- Familiarity with After Effects, Premiere Pro, Canva, Google Sheets and Slides, Figma, and Miro is advantageous.

As a Freelance Design Lead Storytelling, you will be an innovative Print Designer who has a track record of designing and producing engaging print products that exist at the cross between entertainment and education. With 5+ years experience in print media, you know how to master a brand visual identity; design with target audience in mind; and confidently share your knowledge and skills with stakeholders and team members.
You will be responsible for understanding and adopting our brand visual identity, and ensure that it is consistent across all products that you work on. You will design, template and prepare print-ready files for books including covers, interiors and packaging. You will also design, template and prepare print-ready files for card games packaging, cards, instructions and merchandise including apparel, accessories, stickers, stationary.
You must have a degree in graphic design, visual communication, or other related field and notable experience working in creative roles, with a particular focus on print products. You must have advanced knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign); knowledge of After Effects and Premiere Pro is advantageous. You must be comfortable with other software such as Canva, Google Sheets and Slides, Figma, and Miro.
