Role Summary

Role Requirements
- BSc (Hons) or equivalent experience in Cell or Molecular Biology and hands-on laboratory experience
- Significant technical sales experience in the Life Science sector
- Ability to build strong partnerships and deliver value to customers
- High proficiency in written and spoken English
- Possess understanding of the drug discovery process and CRM system (like HubSpot)
- Presentation ability to the scientific community
- Fluent German speaker (preferable)

Your role in our team:
The Account Manager (Inside Sales) will help to drive revenue growth through the direct sale of bit.bio’s off-the-shelf iPSC-derived cell products to customers in the academic and commercial life sciences sectors, including pharmaceutical, biotech, and contract research organisations. With a strong background in tools or life science product sales, the individual will be responsible for developing and executing a territory-specific growth strategy to support research and drug discovery applications. Reporting to a Regional Manager, the role will also involve close collaboration with internal scientific and product teams, acting as a key point of contact to connect bit.bio’s offering with the wider external R&D community.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Develop and implement a sales strategy alongside the Regional Manager.
- Actively map, prospect, qualify potential customers, and sell iPSC-derived products in the territory leading to new opportunities that covert from leads to sales.
- Document customer contact information and use tools such as Hubspot CRM.
- Utilise tools such as Global Data, Sales Navigator and other lead generation tools to assist in prospecting as well as use these tools for background intel preparation and positioning of our product offering to support their interactions with customers.
- Responsible for lead generation, lead follow up, negotiation process and proactively developing the customer base from tactical to more longer-term strategic relationships.
- Expectation to use digital conference facilities and will be required to make in-person travel to customer sites up to 25% in Europe, support conference activities and make formal product offering presentations.
- Working closely with the Marketing Department on lead strategy, feeding back the voice of the customer to create impactful demand generation campaigns.

- Are BSc (Hons) qualified (or equivalent experience), with a specific background in Cell or Molecular Biology and hands on laboratory experience.
- Have significant technical sales experience in a related Life Science sector, ideally with experience of selling cell-based products.
- Are knowledgeable and experienced in working with biotech, pharma, CROs and academic customers.
- Are respectful of others and able to work effectively as part of an international commercial team with strong interpersonal skills.
- Have the ability to build strong partnerships with highly scientific customers, skilled at active listening and delivering value to customers and collaborators.
- Are able to travel to customer sites up to 25% in Europe.
- Are highly proficient in spoken and written English.
With essential experience in…
- Proven track record of direct technical sales within the Life Science sector to the biotech, pharma, CRO and academic customer base in UK (research products or diagnostics).
- Proven knowledge and experience of prospect hunting for leads, assessing the value of an opportunity, sales planning and the ability to execute on the devised commercial strategy.
- Proven experience in consultative selling; able to interact in a proactive way through building trust; demonstrates a competency and technical skills that are clear to both customers and peers.
- A solid understanding of the drug discovery process.
- The use of HubSpot or similar CRM system to manage the sales process.
- A high level of proficiency in customer and product presentations and demonstrated ability to present to the scientific community.

- MSc/PhD in a Life Science discipline, preferably Cell or Molecular Biology, or similar.
- Fluent German speaker.
- Flexibility to work to cover some US time zones.
- A solid technical scientific background and an understanding of induced pluripotent stem cells (iPSCs) and their role in drug discovery.
