Role Summary -

  • Manage grants for our Burundi program with focus on the Green Climate Fund and others.
  • Ensure donor compliance, accurate budgeting and efficient fund usage.
  • Offer financial oversight and risk mitigation.
  • Support leadership with funding strategies and financial planning.

Role Requirements -

  • Excel proficiency and financial modelling skills.
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, or a similar field.
  • Experience in grant management and donor compliance.
  • At least 1 year handling complex grants like GCF, USAID, EU.

About One Acre Fund Founded in 2006, One Acre Fund equips 5.5 million smallholder farmers to make their farms more productive. Across nine countries that together are home to two-thirds of Africa's farmers, we provide high-quality farm supplies, tree seedlings, accessible credit, modern agronomic training, and a wide range of other agricultural services.

The Role This role supports the Burundi program in grant management and compliance, with a focus on financial oversight and reporting for the Green Climate Fund (GCF) and other grants. The Grants Administrator will ensure donor compliance, accurate budgeting, efficient fund utilization, and effective collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.

Responsibilities Grant Management & Compliance Oversee grant lifecycle, ensuring compliance, accurate budgeting, and efficient fund use. Monitor spending, address variances, and maintain financial tracking systems. Be the primary liaison for grant-related updates and reporting.

Financial Oversight & Risk Management Ensure accurate accounting, fund flows, and donor reporting. Conduct compliance checks, mitigate risks, and improve processes.

Strategic & Team Support Support leadership on funding strategies and financial planning. Train staff on compliance and grant management best practices. Foster collaboration and transparency across teams.

Qualifications Technical Skills: Proficiency in excel (can maintain complex spreadsheets), project management tools, and financial modeling. And data management abilities. Knowledge: Bachelor’s in Finance, Business, or related field. Experience in grant management and donor compliance. 1+ years managing complex grants (GCF, USAID, EU).
