Role Summary
- Reporting to the Head of Procurement and working with another Procurement Manager.
- Manage around £40 million of procurement spend annually.
- Drive Procurement Act tenders at varying values.
- Advise teams on procurement procedures following Sport England’s guidelines.
- Ensure compliance with the Procurement Act 2023.
- Foster robust professional relationships internally to induce and manage procurement delivery.
- Create and manage Framework Agreements to regularise spend areas.
- Aid the Head of Procurement in developing comprehensive reports for internal and external use.
Role Requirements
- Demonstrate significant experience in procurement processes.
- Possess a solid understanding of contract management, tendering prerequisites and e-procurement systems.
- Exhibit proficiency in public procurement procedures and the Procurement Act 2023.
- Confidently operate call-off contracts from public sector frameworks.
- Expertise in running high value tenders across various categories.
- Align with and practice Sport England’s values and mission.

As a Procurement Manager, you will be reporting to the Head of Procurement and working alongside another Procurement Manager. This role supports the business to manage approximately £40 million of procurement spend per year. You will work in a dynamic environment running Procurement Act tenders at a variety of values and contributing to the realisation of exciting projects which change lives for the better.
Your responsibilities will include advising colleagues on the most appropriate procurement route in line with Sport England’s policies & procedures and ensuring compliance with the Procurement Act 2023. You will also be responsible for building strong collaborative relationships across the business to manage and drive procurement delivery including facilitating training. Creating and managing Framework Agreements (or identify existing agreements) to cover regular spend areas and supporting the Head of Procurement to develop timely and robust reporting, for internal and external use.
We are looking for someone with extensive experience of procurement processes and knowledge of contract management, tendering requirements and e-procurement. In particular, you will be proficient in public procurement processes and procedures and the Procurement Act 2023. You will be confident in using call off contracts from public sector frameworks and expertise in running high value tenders across a range of categories.
