Role Summary

- Collaborating with the Assistant General Counsel (AGC) to establish our strategy towards regulatory requirements, incorporate healthy conduct practices, and enhance our car finance business.
Role Requirements
- A minimum of 7 years experience in legal and regulatory compliance in a regulated lending or motor finance environment.
- Thorough knowledge of relevant laws, codes, FCA regulations, and their practical applications.
- Business-oriented and practical approach: know when to push and when to support.
- Comfort in ambiguity and motivated by building from scratch.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate regulations into real-world impact.

The Role We’re looking for a Compliance Lead to help us build our car finance offering in a responsible and customer-centric way. You’ll work closely with the Assistant General Counsel (AGC) for MM to shape our approach to regulatory obligations, embed strong conduct practices, and support our car finance business. If you get excited about regulation and customers, love translating complex rules into good business sense, and want to help build something from the ground up — this one’s for you.
Job Requirements 7 years experience working in legal and regulatory compliance within a regulated lending or motor finance environment. Strong working knowledge of relevant laws, codes, FCA regulations and how they apply practically. A pragmatic, business-minded approach — you know when to push and when to support. Someone who’s excited by ambiguity and motivated by building from scratch. A great communicator who can translate regulation into real-world impact.
