Role Summary
- Conceptualizing, creating, and overseeing the implementation of early-stage pilots and program improvements for the Malawi Trees team.
- Working closely with the Malawi Agroforestry Manager.
- Maintaining the agroforestry innovations and improvements pipeline on a long term basis.
- Coordinating with MEL regarding data, findings, and recommendations.
- Collaborating with the relevant field team to execute pilots and determine data collection requirements.
Role Requirements
- A minimum of three years' experience in fields like agriculture, forestry, agroforestry or agricultural development.
- At least three years' experience in one of One Acre Fund's countries of operation.
- Prior experience of working with farmers in rural surroundings.
- Technical skills including proficiency in Google Workspace and budget management.
- Fluency in English.

The Role The Agroforestry Operations Associate will conceptualize, design and manage implementation of innovations, early-stage pilots and program improvements for the Malawi Trees team. You will report to the Malawi Agroforestry Manager. Your responsibilities will include managing the long-term Agroforestry innovations and improvements pipeline, liaising regularly with MEL on data, findings, and recommendations, and working with the relevant field-facing team to implement pilots and identify data collection needs.
Job Requirements 3 or more years of experience in agriculture, forestry, agroforestry, agricultural development or related fields. 3+ years of experience in one of our countries of operation. Experience working with farming and farmers in rural settings. Technical skills: Google workspace and tools (i.e. Google Sheets, Google Forms), Budget Management. Fluency in English.
