Company Description

ReactWise is a fast-growing software startup based in Cambridge, UK, developing an AI-copilot for chemical process optimization. Built on machine learning algorithms developed during our founders’ PhDs at the University of Cambridge, our platform significantly accelerates chemical process R&D - reducing the time it takes to bring new drugs to clinical trials. We are currently working with 14 clients, including several of the world’s leading pharmaceutical companies.

Job Description

We are looking for a highly motivated Strategy & Operations Associate to join our core team and work directly with the founders. This is a high-impact generalist role at the intersection of strategy, operations, and product - perfect for someone with a STEM background and a strong interest in innovation, startups, and scientific problem-solving. You’ll wear multiple hats - from impacting the commercial and product strategy, to running marketing campaigns, writing grant applications, and coordinating company operations. This role offers exceptional exposure to what it takes to scale a deep tech company and the opportunity to shape the future of AI in chemistry.

Responsibilities

  • Work closely with the founders to drive high-priority strategic initiatives
  • Research and co-write grant applications and partnership proposals
  • Drive marketing activities via LinkedIn, newsletters, and conference preparation
  • Create internal and external presentations and written communications
  • Streamline internal operations and support client engagement
  • Conduct market and competitor research to support business development
  • Manage special projects and day-to-day operational tasks across the company

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or a closely related STEM field
  • 2-3 years of industry experience, ideally in consulting, VC, business strategy, or operations
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Highly organized and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Self-starter mindset with a hands-on attitude and desire to learn
  • Right to work in the UK

Desirable Skills

  • Prior experience in a startup or fast-growing company
  • Familiarity with the pharmaceutical or chemical manufacturing industry
  • Interest in automation, machine learning, or data-driven innovation in science

Compensation
