About Us

At MakeMyHouseGreen, we empower homeowners to make smart, sustainable energy choices by providing expert solar solutions designed to reduce carbon footprints and energy bills. Our innovative technology and dedicated team help customers understand how solar power fits their homes — from roof assessment and data analysis to installation and ongoing support. Joining us means playing a key role in the clean energy transition, making a positive impact on the planet while building a rewarding career.

About The Role

As a Solar Sales Associate, you’ll be at the frontline of our mission to make solar energy accessible and attractive to homeowners. You will guide inbound customers through the entire sales process — from initial consultation, through technical guidance, to closing the sale. Using your technical knowledge and expert advice, you’ll design solar PV systems using industry-leading modelling tools like SolarEdge. Your work will directly drive sales growth and enhance customer experience, helping MakeMyHouseGreen scale its impact.

About The Team

You’ll join a close-knit, skilled sales team of eight who combine technical savvy with strong customer rapport. Collaboration with our operations and customer service teams ensures customers enjoy a seamless journey from sale through installation and ongoing support. Our culture values drive, resilience, and continuous learning — you’ll be supported by internal experts and external training opportunities to help you thrive and grow.

What You'll Do

  • Guide inbound customers through the full sales cycle with empathy and clarity, ensuring a smooth, consultative experience.
  • Provide expert, technical advice on solar energy systems, answering customer questions with confidence and accuracy.
  • Manage and nurture a pipeline of customers, maintaining regular contact to maximize conversion rates.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with operations and customer service teams to ensure smooth handovers and ongoing customer satisfaction.
  • Use SolarEdge and other modelling tools to design accurate solar PV systems, including site layouts and component placement.
  • Keep up-to-date with the latest solar technology and industry trends to continuously improve your advice and system modelling.

About You

Our ideal candidate will show the following skills and experience:

  • Strong drive and motivation to exceed sales targets.
  • Resilience in managing a pipeline and overcoming objections
  • Disciplined and highly organised approach to managing customer communications and sales stages
  • Excellent active listening skills to understand customer needs deeply
  • Natural at building rapport and trust quickly
  • Influencing skills to guide customer decisions positively and ethically

It would be great if you had:

  • Previous experience in solar or renewable energy sales or technical roles
  • Familiarity with solar system design or relevant software tools
  • Comfort working in a fast-growing, mission-driven business environment

A Day In The Life

Your day starts by reviewing your customer pipeline and prioritising follow-ups. You’ll jump into calls with interested homeowners, conducting consultations that blend technical insight with relatable advice. Between calls, you’ll design system layouts on SolarEdge, checking details and optimising solutions.

You’ll collaborate with your sales peers and operations colleagues regularly to ensure every customer progresses smoothly towards installation. Throughout, you stay curious and updated on industry changes that can help you serve customers better.

What's In It For You?

  • Join a purpose-driven company making a real difference in the clean energy space.
  • Grow your sales career within a well-oiled, supportive sales machine.
  • Deepen your technical knowledge of solar energy and expand into commercial sectors if you choose.
  • Clear paths to people management or becoming a subject-matter expert and trainer in sales or technical areas.
  • Ongoing investment in your development with access to internal and external experts.
  • Be a valued part of a passionate, inclusive team focused on making homes greener and customers happier.
