Community Energy England is seeking a Technical Director for Dorset Community Energy. This is an exciting opportunity to join a not-for-profit organisation that is committed to the values of co-operative, public sector, and community-based organisations.

The role involves liaising with the Dorset Community Energy directors, managing consultants, and communicating with external organisations, including sites with Dorset Community Energy solar PV installations. The successful candidate will have a technical background and qualifications, ideally within the renewable energy sector. Good interpersonal skills are required as the role includes liaison with various stakeholders. The ability to work flexibly and multitask is also essential.

Applicants should demonstrate a commitment to the values and/or experience of co-operative, public sector or community-based organisations. The role is offered on a self-employed basis with remuneration between £25- £35 per hour, depending on experience. The work hours can be variable.
