Role Summary
- Booking non-urgent tickets for Byway itineraries.
- Develop a thorough understanding of routes, timings, and booking prospects to secure the best possible tickets.

Role Requirements
- Experience in planning and booking overland travel.
- Exceptional operational skills, attention to detail, and problem-solving ability.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Aptitude for making decisions that not only enhance customer experience but also align with company guidelines.
- Previous experience in the travel sector, especially in sustainability or flight-free travel, is advantageous.
- Proficiency in French, Italian, Spanish and/or German is beneficial.

The role of a Ticketing Intern involves booking a queue of non-urgent tickets for Byway itineraries. You’ll develop a knowledge of routes, timings and booking horizons to choose tickets - balancing customer enjoyment, cost and flexibility, and sales/promotions to secure the best possible tickets in good time. This role would suit someone with superb attention to detail who can organise their own time, remain focused, plan ahead and anticipate the needs of our customers and the wider team.
Job requirements include experience planning and booking overland travel, strong operational skills, an exceptional eye for detail with quick thinking, agility and creativity in problem solving, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and an ability to make decisions that maximise customer enjoyment while operating within company guidelines. Experience working in the travel sector, especially in areas like sustainability or flight-free travel, would be a plus. Fluency/proficiency in French, Italian, Spanish and/or German would also be beneficial.
We offer a salary of £27,500 pa, pro-rated for a six month internship, an annual autumn Away Day and monthly socials in London, one cost-price Byway holiday per year and agency rates with Eurostar for you and your family/friends. We also offer remote-first, flexible working: 20 days wherever: work when you like and where you like for most of the month - we’ll fund a day a week in a coworking space 2 days together: join our team in the London office two days each month.
