Volunteer Fundraising Trustee for a young dynamic Community Dance Based Orgainsation

What will you be doing?

We are particularly interested in candidates with professional backgrounds in Fundraising and Grant Writing and experience in one of the following areas; business development, communities, finance, governance, marketing & PR, and charity experience, and who have considerable experience of senior management. Trustees are required to commit to a minimum term of 3 years, and to attend Board Meetings up to 4 times a year. Trustees will also have the opportunity to assist with strategy discussions, fundraising, press opportunities, one-to-one support, project visits, project celebration events and other activities on an ad-hoc basis.   What's in it for the volunteer? We are looking for people from professional backgrounds in Fundraising and Grant Writing and someone who is a passionate and positive person who is keen to make a difference.  We want hands-on Trustees who have the time and energy required to contribute meaningfully to the development of the organisation. This includes a hands-on approach to governance and strategic support to actively make a difference to the growth of the charity. professional backgrounds in Fundraising and Grant Writing. All Dacorum Dance Trustees should display the following characteristics:

What difference will you make?

We are in need of Trustees who can work hands on to help the charity grow. We are a small charity still in our infancy and need active support to push forward with all the opportunities that lie ahead of us. This role will take the lead in income generation, build a strategy, and apply to grants on behalf of the charity. Dacorum Dance has been running since 2018. We are a community oriented dance group committed to enhancing physical activity, addressing social isolation, and promoting mental wellbeing through accessible and affordable dance programmes. We have a passion for creative activity that is proven to help build confidence and provide a sense of belonging, enabling people to fulfil their potential by encouraging positive change. We have been running as a not for profit unincorporated constituted group but are in the process of applying for Charitable Incorporated Organisation (CIO) status. We must be compliant with charity law and collectively, it is the role of the Board of Trustees to ensure this happens as well as to oversee the general strategic direction and financial stability of Dacorum Dance.
