What will you be doing?
We are a volunteer-led charity and so ideally want trustees who can be more hands-on than the traditional role. We are beginning to make a name for ourselves, especially in Haringey and Islington, and want to build on this to increase the services we offer while we seek to fund paid-roles.
What are we looking for?
We're looking for leadership experience, direction-setting, teamwork and demonstrable decision-making skills. Ideally, one of the trustees will have experience of directing fundraising campaigns, and the other with an operational background and grasp of service management. Familiarity with charity law and the VCS sector would be good to have, as would the candidate also being in recovery.
What difference will you make?
The trustees will help shape the direction of a new charity that currently has the energy and position of a start-up organisation - and a solid platform to build on. We have accelerated our plan to establish a mixed, abstinence-based residential rehab house providing 90-day recovery programme - so this is a great opportunity for someone who wants to make a different to grassroots addiction.
