You should have an excellent news sense and a sharp analytical mind to analyze sports events and contribute perspective. The role also requires the ability to multitask on different projects and deliver stories regularly. Moreover, the ability to capture and use video snippets for reporting and an interest in understanding subscribers' desires are vital. The application requires at least three years' experience with a media company, experience at NFL beat, and complete knowledge about NFL and the journalistic process. About the Role
The Athletic is looking for an energetic, motivated writer to cover the Seattle Seahawks who understands that reporting is the foundation for everything that we do. This reporter needs to be a driven and coachable self-starter who also thrives working collaboratively.
This role is for the Seattle area only.

Requirements
The annual base salary range for this role is $80,000.00 - $110,000.00 USD. The total compensation offered for this position may vary based on factors such as education, experience, skills, and location.
For roles in the U.S., dependent on your role, you may be eligible for variable pay, such as an annual bonus and restricted stock. Benefits may include medical, dental and vision benefits, Flexible Spending Accounts (F.S.A.s), a company-matching 401(k) plan, paid vacation, paid sick days, paid parental leave, tuition reimbursement and professional development programs.
