Welcome to AltSpace

AltSpace is a dedicated, cost effective, coworking space in the heart of Wellington for entrepreneurs, small companies, traveling professionals, and independent workers.

We provide all the perks of a serviced office without the high overheads or most of the add on charges for the use of our facilities.

Our open plan office has onsite reception services and features wired and wireless Internet access through a dedicated Citylink connection using FX Networks. We provide secure document destruction, free tea and Supreme espresso coffee.

We provide our members with a desk, access to our VOIP telephony system and a presence for working in Wellington and can even provide a PC and host your servers if required.

All of our meeting rooms are equipped with whiteboards, flipcharts and feature voice and video conferencing on large HD LCD screens, at no extra charge. Our 12 seat boardroom is also equipped with a mounted projector.

he AltSpace Philosophy

AltSpace was set up by two professionals who regularly needed to work out of an office in the centre of Wellington. As there wasn't a dedicated workspace available that wasn't a landlord or other company subleasing to reduce costs, we decided to set up our own.

When we set it up we decided to set it up exactly like the sort of place we were looking for and could not find.

We wanted a place where you could move in and be up running in a few minutes, with excellent shared facilities that do not incur a host of petty charges, and with the knowledge that the owners were in the business of providing the best coworking space available, and not just subleasing redundant office space.
