Archives and Records Association (UK and Ireland)

We help the general public have access to records and archives to enable openness and trust in public life. We are all affected by issues in recordkeeping –  poor recordkeeping has either led to injustice or the inability of inquiries or lawyers to find or produce records has led to delays (some ongoing) to justice and reparations. We accredit the training and provide continuing professional development to archivists, records managers and archive conservators. We campaign for better records legislation and a more representative workforce.
