ARU Students’ Union exists to support all ARU students on the five ARU campuses across Cambridgeshire, Essex and London. ARUSU acts as the voice of the students, representing their interests both within the university and on a national level and ensuring that student views and concerns are heard and acted upon. Additionally, the Students’ Union delivers a broad calendar of events, clubs and societies to enrich and broaden the student experience, help students to form a sense of community and meet new people. The Union also operates a confidential, independent advice service which offers non-judgemental support. University can be a daunting experience, especially for those away from home or dealing with personal struggles. ARUSU provides a sense of community and belonging through events and societies, helping students to build friendships and support networks, and thrive at university. The Students’ Union also empowers students to shape their academic and social experiences, making sure that students have a voice in university decisions and that the student experience is reflective of their needs. Overall, the work of ARUSU aims to ensure that students have a fulfilling and successful university experience.
