Escape's take on Be the Business

The UK lags behind comparable nations in terms of productivity. But, by improving the performance of small business leaders, Be The Business have stepped up to improve the UK’s position overall – and with that, everyone benefits. They work with some of the UK’s most successful businesses to provide small business leaders with the support, resources, and guidance they need to improve their productivity. A fully-remote team, offering 4 day weeks and compressed hours, we’re also reliably informed that their annual team retreats are fun-filled affairs! Sounds like a pretty great place to work to us!

      😎 Autonomy
Empowering individuals to take ownership of their work and make impactful decisions that drive positive change.

      👩‍👧‍👧 Team members
BtB is positively brimmed with intelligent people devoted and passionate to deliver on our productivity mission. People are truly kind, want to help one another, and regularly praise/give recognition and appreciation to celebrate wins/work, whilst learning along the way.

      🏖 Flexibility
BtB offers the most flexibility I've experienced in my career. This includes its hybrid working policy, openness to compressed hours, full or part time roles, flexible starting and finishing hours, or acceptance for people to block out for school runs, classes etc.

      ⛑ Employee wellbeing
BtB is truly people-first. In addition to the flexible working mentioned, it leads with compassion for its employees' wellbeing, and supports healthy work/life balance. I can personally attest that under some of the worst of personal circumstances (death in family and a major illness), BtB was nothing short of truly supportive, kind and accommodating.

      Overall

For all the reasons cited above- flexibility in allowing people to work in a way that best suits them as much as the organisation; work/life balance; inspirationally intelligent, kind, and devoted teammates; and a truly important mission.

      🥰 Employee recognition
We have a great 'Start of the Week' message from our CEO where he highlights the wins and the achievements of team members from the week before. It is always great to hear about what everyone is up to and to celebrate other parts of the organisation.

      👩‍👧‍👧 Team members
I have never worked for an organisation where everyone is so friendly and supportive. Everyone takes time to support one another on different tasks.

      🏖 Flexibility
The working from home/office policy is very flexible and the organisation really trusts and empowers its employees to work in a way best for them.

      Overall

Lots of room to grow, make friends and to learn about small businesses in the UK!
