We believe that every child, regardless of their background, should be set up to thrive in life, not just exams.
We bring a systemic view to all that we do. We back pioneering projects leading bold approaches for young people on the frontline. Like us, these leaders want to tackle the root cause of issues affecting young people, teachers, parents and carers, rather than treat the symptoms of a broken system. These projects and pioneers work across a range of areas: from reducing exclusions to improving mental health; transforming youth rehabilitation to creating life-changing children’s homes.
Beyond our direct work with projects that support young people in the UK, we work to understand and influence the wider system conditions in which these projects can grow their impact. We’ve built a global network of 200 leaders and experts in system transformation to understand how change is happening – and why it is not.
Now, more than ever, we think it’s vital to work together to help all young people thrive.
Big Change backs pioneering projects to help all young people thrive. An organisation focused on addressing the root cause of issues rather than the symptoms, is one we want on The Escape 100 list. We could spend hours reading the huge variety of projects that Big Change has helped to action. And the small and hardworking team only had positive things to say, with an impressively high people score.

When we're in the office we have a free buffet lunch, every day. But while we're at home we've repurposed lunch times to be a chance to connect with colleagues. Whether thats a discussion about learning and development over your lunch or just to check in with each other. If you want to use the hour to get completely away from work and go for a run or other activities, that's encouraged too!
