Career Returners is a purpose-led consulting, coaching and network organisation which specialises in enabling the return to work of experienced professionals after an extended career break for childcare, eldercare or other reasons. We make career breaks a valued part of a lifetime career.
We partner with leading employers to make the working world fairer and more inclusive. We create supported routes back to suitable level roles for professionals who have stepped out of the workforce for an extended break.
Since 2014, we have pioneered the introduction and uptake of returner programmes and career returner coaching in the UK and Ireland, and now offer our services on a global basis. We combine a practical commercial perspective, with experienced coaching capability, in-depth psychological knowledge and an unmatched understanding of returners and returner programmes.
We are a social business, with a powerful mission to normalise and remove the stigma of career breaks. Alongside our commercial operations, we run a free-of-charge network community for returning professionals, with over 9,400 subscribed members. We deliver funded employability support programmes and act as a voice for the returner community in media and Government.
Career Returners is a purpose-led social business on a mission to remove the ‘Career Break Penalty’ – an unfair and avoidable penalty that affects mainly women by reducing their lifetime earnings and career opportunities.
