Centre for London is a politically independent think tank focused on the big challenges facing London.It aims to help London build on its long history as a centre of economic socialand intellectual innovation and exchange and create a fairer more inclusive and sustainable city.

About us

Centre for London is a politically independent think tank and charity, with a mission to find new solutions to the capital’s challenges.

Launched in 2011, the Centre aims to help London build on its long history of trade, innovation and public life and create a prosperous city that works for everyone.

The capital’s only dedicated think tank, we have a unique understanding of London’s success as a global city and economic powerhouse, as well as the challenges of maintaining the infrastructure and social cohesion on which this success is built.

Working across economic, environmental and social issues, we develop rigorous research and bold, long-term solutions to the problems that London and other cities face. We bring together a diverse range of experts, business leaders, policymakers and civil society organisations to forge new solutions to the capital’s challenges.

Our ideas and recommendations have been widely adopted, and we continue to influence debates about London and other global cities through our busy events programme.

Centre for London is supported by a mixture of private, public sector and charitable funders. We work collaboratively with our supporters and partners across the globe, drawing on their experience and expertise.
