The Soap Co. an ethical luxury soap brand that creates products that are good and do good. The Soap Co. launched in September 2015 as part of CLARITY the UK's oldest surviving social enterprise which was founded in 1854 to employ train and support people with disabilities our mission is to create employment and provide training to build skills confidence and independence.

Alongside this we also strive to reduce our impact on the environment sourcing packaging that is made from recycled materials and can be recycled and composted itself. We supply our products to businesses that share our commitment to sustainability. We help them create positive impact through their supply chain whilst reducing their environmental footprint. We're in the process of developing close corporate partnerships following the recent launch of the Buy Social Corporate Challenge a campaign in which the Cabinet Office is involved to support a group of high profile businesses (including Johnson & Johnson PwC RBS Group Santander Wates and Zurich) spend £1 billion with social enterprises by 2020.

About us

We employ over 120 people per year, with 80% of our workforce being blind, or otherwise disabled or disavantaged....a pretty unique place to work and we even have guide dogs. We are not a regular charity though, we are thriving and growing through more sales of our great products, helping us employ even more people in the future.

What is our culture like?

We are a very diverse organisation, and there is a place for everyone here at Clarity-The Soap Co.

Our business development team is more like a start up which is constantly learning and improving, with a great mix of skills, experience and abilities.

Everyone in the factory eats lunch together each day and there is even a weekly raffle run by the staff to raise money for social trips.

We have dozens of student and experienced volutneers helping to shape what we do.
