Colu is developing a blockchain network, along with its token CLN, that will allow local communities to issue local currencies that will be used to reward consumers and merchants for shopping within the community. The network will provide tools to exchange the local currencies among themselves and out of the network via the CLN. The network is a public open-source blockchain and so products and services that are developed for the network can be used by various local communities. Colu strives to create an open ecosystem for local payment networks.
