Founded in 1967, Cord is an international peacebuilding organisation that works in societies affected by violent conflict to promote the power of peaceful relationships. Developing the capacity of local partners, community representatives and power holders, Cord helps create space for relationships to thrive.  Cord is inspired by the Christian faith, but works in partnership with local organisations and people of all faiths and none. Cord is also a founding member of EU CORD a collective group of European Christian development agencies. Today, Cord has a UK office in Coventry, with a presence in 8 countries across East Africa and South East Asia.
