Careers at Crosstown

Crosstown is an independent London brand specialising in fresh handmade sourdough doughnuts and specialty coffee. The business was founded in May 2014, launching as a market stall on London’s Leather Lane, and has since grown to several permanent sites, two food trucks and many markets across central London.

As a scratch bakery, Crosstown hand make their doughnuts fresh 365 days of the year using the finest quality ingredients, sourced locally and from around the world. Crosstown is famous for inventing their signature hybrid yeast-raised sourdough, which is rolled by hand. All jams, compotes, glazes and fillings are made in-house.

In 2017, Crosstown extended their offer to include vegan sourdough doughnuts, replacing dairy with alternative ingredients such as chia seeds, coconut butter and oat milk. In 2018, they opened Vegan Crosstown in Marylebone, shortly followed by two weekly vegan-only markets in Brockley and Victoria Park. In the same year, Crosstown were awarded The Best Vegan Doughnuts by PETA (The People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals).

As well as retailing the product via its stores, markets and online, Crosstown supply select partners on a daily basis, including Air New Zealand (served on business class flights from Heathrow to LA), Wholefoods and Planet Organic. The business also has an events arm, undertaking private hire catering and events.

At the start of 2019, Crosstown partnered up with youth homelessness charity, Centrepoint, to help support vulnerable young people in the capital. The team have prepared a calendar of events, which include the Royal Parks Half Marathon, arts workshops and sporting competitions to raise money and awareness for the Centrepoint cause.

Crosstown is an independent business founded by JP Then and Adam Wills, the current directors who remain active in running the business.
