About us

Depop is a mobile, social shopping app. Our mission is to make buying and selling from mobile both easy and fun. Open your Depop shop, then follow your friends, shops and other people. Browse your feed, search for your favourite brands, vintage and rare items. Sell by just taking a picture.

Depop is home to influential trendsetters, emerging and established creatives from fashion, design, music, sport and photography. To date, Depop has been downloaded over 5 million times with tens of millions of items bought and sold!

Our story so far

It all started back in 2011 when Simon Beckerman, a creative entrepreneur from Milan (founder of PIG Mag and Retrosuperfuture) set out to create a social, mobile marketplace to connect with friends. Depop was born in H-Farm, a world-class technological incubator and business start-up centre in Italy. At the heart of this new product, was a desire to create something innovative, design led, intuitive and fun to use. In 2012 after a successful launch, set up its HQ in Shoreditch, London. The company has grown quickly and now has teams in London, Milan and New York.
