Drone Ag is a renowned agricultural software specialist and award-winning agri-tech innovator, founded in 2015 by Jack Wrangham. Their main product, “Skippy Scout”, is now used worldwide and is a software platform which utilises drone automation and AI technology for more efficient, productive, and environmentally-friendly farming. With the world population expected to reach 9.8 billion by 2050, agri-tech is more crucial than ever before.

Skippy Scout leverages the power of off-the-shelf drones to enable repeatable and traceable crop monitoring much faster than ever before. It offers an aide to standard field-walking and crop analysis, and the data it captures is analysed by AI to provide quick, accurate and detailed feedback on crop health.

Drone Ag's HQ is located in a newly renovated, 800sqm farm building within Harehope farming estate. The project commenced in 2020, after Northumberland County Council granted planning permission. The unique character of the old mill building has been carefully preserved, with a high-end modern finish. The office space includes kitchen facilities, full fibre broadband, fully equipped workspaces, a workshop and conference facilities.

Drone Ag also has full access to Harehope’s farmland, which covers 6000 acres, providing the ideal proving ground for agricultural technology. It offers doorstep access to a variety of crops and varying terrains, enabling the collection of valuable data to conduct crucial testing on the technology they use and develop daily.

Northumberland has been named the most beautiful county in England on multiple occasions and is home to the renowned AONB of the Northumberland coast and the Cheviot hills of Northumberland National Park. This provides plenty of opportunity for outdoor activities and sightseeing, boasting a good selection of amenities and schools.
