Duco is a technology company focused on simplifying complexity by employing advances in computer science research.  Its award-winning hosted reconciliation service, Duco Cube, enables firms to control complex data using light-touch, self-service technology.  In the last 12 months, Duco Cube has reconciled more than one billion transactions.  Duco won the 2014 FOW International Award for "Best New Product – Reconciliation" and was one of only seven firms chosen to participate in the prestigious 2015 FinTech Innovation Lab in London.  Financial News named Duco CEO Christian Nentwich to its "40 Under 40 Rising Stars of Trading and Technology" as well as its "40 leaders in fintech" list of individuals who "display influence or innovation in the emerging financial technology ecosystem."  Headquartered in London, Duco serves clients throughout Europe,the United States, Africa and Asia.

Who are your core team?

CEO

Christian Nentwich is a co-founder and director of Duco.

He has more than 10 years of experience with financial technology and processes and a track record of delivering innovative solutions to the market. Christian was named in 2014 in Financial News' 40 under 40 Rising Stars of Trading and Technology. Before Duco, he founded and sold his previous company, Systemwire, and advised multiple tier one investment banks, fund managers, clearing houses and ISDA on standards and data strategy. He is passionate about bringing innovation from the university lab to industry.

Christian holds a BSc and PhD in Computer Science from University College London, and is a winner of its medal of the Faculty of Mathematical and Physical Sciences.

CTO

Michael Marconi is a director and co-founder of the company.

Michael spent 10 years immersed in London's financial services industries, with a particular focus on data and complex, distributed enterprise architecture. His list of former clients includes investment banks, fund managers and commodities traders.

Michael obtained a Computer Science degree from the University of Cape Town before winning a Chevening Scholarship to study at University College London and the London Business School.

CMO

Patrick has over 25 years experience in the derivatives post-trade and technology sectors. Prior to joining Duco in January 2014, he was Global Head of Business Development, ETD at Traiana for four years. Previous roles include Managing Director, Post-Trade Processing at FFastFill, CEO at MarginClick and various senior management positions in the UK and USA in sales and marketing with SunGard, Rolfe & Nolan and Global Head of Operations, ETD at Barclays Capital. Patrick is a trustee of the Futures For Kids charity foundation.
