Futures Are Created Together (FACT) CIC

Futures are Created Together CIC (FACT CIC) was formed in December 2021 to create opportunities and pathways to education within the local community, to increase social mobility and people’s standing within the community. Our flagship Beating Barriers programme was born out of an identified need, many young people were disengaged from mainstream education, struggling with mental health problems, and had undiagnosed SEND. Young people and their families were facing an abundance of issues lacking Educational Health Care Plans (EHCPs) that grants access to additional support in a mainstream setting or provides access to alternative education. Many families reached out for support, some were at risk of losing jobs and suffering threats of financial penalties due to time off work to support their child. Young people were isolated and their relationships with family were becoming strained; many Young People were suffering with mental health issues.
