SENIOR GLOBAL POLICY ADVISER - FORESTS (OPEN TO FLEXIBLE WORKING)
Do you have experience of developing and influencing policy on finance and environmental risk? We are looking for an experienced policy adviser to play a leading role driving change in the policies, behaviour and regulation of private finance to prevent environmental harm and deforestation.
This role could be open to flexible working.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Senior Global Policy Adviser to develop policy and advocacy work on an ambitious new campaign to drive change in business practice, advocate for policy and regulatory change to tackle deforestation.
About the role
Based in Global Witness’s London, you’ll be a core part of our new policy and advocacy team aiming to influence the policy of key financiers as well as financial regulation to tackle deforestation. You’ll relish influencing the development of policy and legislation.
A key part of the role will be identifying opportunities and producing powerful policy and messages that help drive change.
About you
With a track record of developing, presenting and influencing financial policy relating to environmental risk, you’ll share our passion for ensuring that environmental considerations drive investment decisions.
You’ll have a thorough understanding of the financial sector, the regulatory environment, sustainability questions and environmental risk. You’ll know how to analyse, develop and present policy for specialist and non-specialist audiences to ensure our policies are robust and persuasive. You’ll have a strong network of contacts in finance, international organisations, governments and regulators.
A committed team player and excellent communicator, you’ll relish close collaboration with our partners, colleagues and other important stakeholders.
