The organisation helps local organisations to save money and energy by raising funds to add solar, wind or other renewable sources of energy to their buildings. The organisation also offers advice through Energy Champions who run stalls, presentations, workshops, chat 'round the tables' and home visits. We also offer handouts and emailed recommendations and give away small free items to help with energy matters. Our clients are members of the public, typically at a local event such as a Christmas Fair or dinner, summer fete, women's institute or church group. We visit libraries and food banks and community fridges. Our help is to assist people with the cost of energy through advice and small acts of help in the home and advice using a thermal heat camera, our training and information handouts and follow up emails. The impact is to reach people and help with energy advice (600 conversations in the first 8 months of operation, 46 home visits, working with 53 contacts to reach community groups). Secondly, to reduce carbon through assisting energy transition to renewable sources.
