Heart of the City is an independent charity, supported and housed by the City of London Corporation, dedicated to helping small and medium-sized businesses (SMEs) on their sustainability journeys. Since 2000, they’ve empowered thousands of SMEs to create inclusive workplaces, tackle social inequalities, and begin their journeys to net zero. Throughout all the excellent feedback we received about Heart of the City, one thing really stood out. Their work is invaluable. They’re one of the few organisations on a mission to help small businesses (who often don’t have the budget to bring in consultants or employ a dedicated sustainability team) become more sustainable, and therefore have a huge impact on carbon reduction, employee well-being, and diversity and inclusion. And now, they are on the hunt for a new strategic director to join the team.
