Our Company:

We are Journi, based in Bethnal Green, London and established in 2018.  We specialise in matching and placing UX/UI designers in exciting tech brands but with a difference!  We help tech companies recruit the right person for their role and give the successful candidate access to our leadership accelerator programme.  Here’s why: when diverse teams build our technology, that technology gets better. Yet 9/10 tech companies lack class, gender and race diversity in their leadership teams. We think there is a need to change the way people make it to the top.

 Our mission is to disrupt the correlation that exists between class, gender and race in leadership roles in UK tech companies. Our leadership accelerator places exceptional people in positions that stretch their leadership potential and provides them with the skills, technical know-how and networks they need to become the next generation of diverse leaders. While our programmes don’t exclude access based on background, our cohorts have 50% women, 30% people of colour and 20% from less traditional social backgrounds.

Our offer:

We offer a great package starting from £20k basic plus uncapped commission for a full-time permanent entry level recruitment position starting asap. We provide full training and as we are growing fast, we offer a fantastic opportunity to progress quickly at Journi.

The Role:

We are looking for an ambitious professional recruiter to work with our tech-based clients to quickly identify their needs and map a solution to them in terms of the right individual for their business considering technical skills and cultural fit.  You’ll be responsible for building our name and brand in the industry through effectively supporting our clients and candidates.

We expect each recruiter to identify the right candidates for our tech portfolio and manage each candidate by building trust through the interview process to short listing and interview with the client.  You’ll be trained to swiftly screen the candidates so you can help build a strong active pipeline of candidates.

Our clients are dynamic tech companies who are looking to expand so require a quick but strong solution offered in their fast-paced environments.  It’s imperative you build rapport and robust relationships easily with our clients to explore their talent needs for both new and existing clients.

These relationships will enable you to negotiate the employment package to benefit all parties.

Finally, you’ll be tasked with building and maintaining our database of hires for future analysis via our tracking system.

Skills required:

You will be an ambitious self-motivated individual with drive to succeed by taking pride in owning the entire cycle of the recruitment process. 

The role requires problem solving skills, so you’ll need to be able to think on your feet as you place each of our clients and candidates as a priority. 

Experience in customer service or sales would be preferred as you’ll need to be engaging with both clients and candidates as you quickly screen and map them.  It’s essential you can build rapport and trust quickly with both parties.

You’ll need to be highly organised as we grow our business and show us you can own, and project manage the entire recruitment process.
