We are a registered Scottish charity that aim to help women and children recovering after domestic abuse. The organisation’s purposes are:
to relieve women and their children of domestic abuse across Scotland by offering short-term housing and other opportunities that promote and empower an abuse-free future. to advance the health and well-being of women recovering from domestic abuse across Scotland by offering person-specific resources and support to heal from past abuse and to end cycles of victimisation. to promote the equality and diversity of women by raising awareness of domestic abuse in Scotland. to prevent the impoverishment of at-risk women victims of abuse through opportunities for financial and personal advancement.
We offer a 12 week programme which is the first step to recovery. We then offer various empowerment workshops as well as mental health and wellbeing groups and activities such as Yoga, garden group, peer chat groups etc. At the moment there is not a lot of help after a woman has left the abusive relationship. They feel isolated, traumatised and unable to get on with life. Jubilee House has helped women through the community to recover and gain confidence and life skills empowering them to live their best lives.
