Julie’s Bicycle are on a mission to inspire and enable the cultural sector to lead a collective response towards a low-carbon economy. And with the sector accounting for 3% of global CO2 emissions, it’s a pretty vital mission. They work with over 3,000 arts organisations and individuals, from small independent companies to large cultural institutions, to help them measure, manage and reduce their environmental impacts. They do this through a combination of data and insights, campaigns, events and programmes — and their work has been recognised with a Community Energy England Award and a Sustainability Leaders Award, to name but a few. It’s an important, cutting-edge and innovative organisation to jump into.
