What’s Karma Cola?

Karma Cola is the world’s fairest organic soft drink. We’ve made a promise to be good for growers, good for the land and as good for our customers as fizzy drinks can be and we’re working on becoming the world’s most popular brand of ethical cola. By the feedback we’re getting, people love our Karma and our Cola.

This is a fantastic time for us. We’ve gained a following who are concerned about the impact they have as consumers and the quality of the food and drink they consume and now we want to grow our community and engage them in telling the world about Karma Cola.

Founders, Chris and Matthew Morrison and Simon Coley started the business in 2012 in New Zealand. Our motivation was to produce an authentic organic soft drink using Fairtrade ingredients and to give back to the original growers of cola in Africa. Despite the world drinking approximately 1.9 billion colas a day, the original African growers received nothing in return. To answer this, Karma Cola sends back 3p of the cost of every bottle sold to cola farmers in Sierra Leone.

Although we’re a young company we’re already making a difference, not only by selling drinks but also in terms of the invaluable humanitarian work that this enables us to do through our Karma Cola Foundation in Sierra Leone.

Fairtrade and organic ingredients are the life source of our brand and the mutually beneficial relationship with the growers in Sierra Leone is testament to our mission to end a tradition of exploitation and promote sustainability and economic independence.

Building upon the initial success of Karma Cola our range includes Gingerella Ginger Ale and Lemony Lemonade, with name ingredients from Sri Lanka and Sicily where we source organic and ethical ingredients like we do with Karma Cola.

Our drinks are sold in over 500 of the most sought after cafes, coffee shops, restaurants and bars around the UK. The range is also available in selected retailers such as Waitrose, Ocado, Harvey Nichols and Selfridges.

We’ve earned some brilliant stories in the media, won a few awards for the taste of our drinks, the design our bottles and the ethics underpinning our business. Now we’re ready to take it to the next level.
