Kirkbymoorside Environment Group

Our beneficiaries are primarily the residents of our town and surrounding villages, but, of course all environmental and climate action benefits the region and the world, in a small way, and has the power to inspire people elsewhere.  In this spirit, we often do joint activities with other towns and villages, and also share good ideas from elsewhere.   Most of our activities are of the group or self-help kind, such as Give or Take Days, coppicing and hedge-laying, repair cafes,  eco-fairs with talks, creating and circulating the Kirkbymoorside Shopping Guide, thermal imaging, creating areas for wildflowers, and our tree nursery.  Our impact is having become very well-known and well supported in our town.  We have a large email list, and lots of people turn out to help
