Lambourne End Centre is a niche charity in south west Essex that works with over 12,000 young people each year on a wide range of personal development programmes, using our unique blend of adventure, environmental and farm activities. Our vision is “to challenge young people to look at the way in which they view themselves, the world in which they live and the people with whom they share it.” We do this by using the activities to generate a wide range of tailored programmes designed to encourage team building, problem solving and communication skills, as well as build confidence, raise aspirations, enthuse and motivate, and increase aspirations. Lambourne End Centre is a fantastic 54 acre site which is full of opportunity. The Centre’s scenic location in a rural setting, yet on the doorstep of East London’s urban fringe creates a unique resource. It offers visiting groups a completely alternative perspective. The Centre boasts residential accommodation and training facilities, outdoor adventure activities, a garden project and a working farm with dedicated environmental areas. The groups we work with are as varied as Princes Trust groups, School groups, Pupil Referral Units, young people with disabilities or additional needs, and those struggling in mainstream education (for a variety of reasons). No two days or two groups are ever the same, and each day brings a fresh challenge!
