Help us to transform the life chances of 16-25 year-olds who have experienced childhood trauma and social, emotional or mental health difficulties that have made their journey through school a difficult one. For these young people, growing up has been especially hard, and they find themselves excluded from many of the traditional pathways to training and employment. Finding their way to becoming happy, healthy, safe and independent adults is going to be a major challenge. They shouldn’t have to face that challenge alone. We want to be there for young people, listening to their needs, hopes and fears and being around to help with the practical challenges of life beyond school. Our mentoring, training and support will help them to look after themselves, improve their family relationships, find the right training and work experience opportunities, and build positive social networks. Life Chance Trust is a new independent charity, based in South Devon and supported by our inspiring founders at Life Chance and their award-winning School for Inspiring Talents.
