We were founded in 2009 when the student leaders of 12 enterprise societies came together to spread the word about enterprise. NACUE directly supports the creation of enterprise societies in education institutions throughout the UK; organises regular events where students can learn from experts and each other distributes funds to societies and is a national advocate for students in discussions of employment and education.

The 200+ enterprise societies in our network are groups of students who passionately believe that by putting their ideas into action they gain the confidence creativity and capability they'll need to thrive in an ever-changing future economy. Enterprise societies come in all shapes and sizes some provide funding business incubator space and pop-up shops for student startups others run hackathons' to create solutions to business problems bring leading speakers to campuses and even create policy think-tanks. They do this because they believe in sharing the opportunity of enterprise and entrepreneurship with their peers.

Our close relationship to our network gives us the opportunity to advocate greater support for enterprise to policymakers and influencers and to create partnerships with institutions government and companies to improve the journey of enterprising students. We work with every type of institution from the city-centre vocational college to the traditional research-led university and partner with some of the leading businesses in the world to deliver over 20 events and conferences each year.

We provide experience and knowledge to those setting up and running enterprise societies services to institutions that want to establish an enterprising culture among their students and policy solutions to government.

We believe that when students learn-by-doing in a network of like-minded peers that they gain the skills that they need to excel in the modern economy.

We are focused on supporting societies to excel on creating the leading network of enterprising students representing the voice of students using our specialist knowledge and collaborating with organisations whose work enhances our own.
