New Citizenship Project

The New Citizenship Project generates and delivers great creative initiatives which promote the role of the citizen and encourage better participation in society. Our ultimate purpose is to change the story of the ‘Consumer’ as the main role of the individual in society, and to reclaim the idea of The ‘Citizen’.

This is necessary because studies show that when we think of ourselves as consumers, we’re less likely to tackle some of society’s biggest problems, from climate change to international inequality. When we think of ourselves as citizens, we’re more likely to participate, volunteer and come together to make our society stronger and more effective. 

New Citizenship Project works with all sorts of other organisations to create brilliant citizen ideas, from digital games to documentary films and even social enterprises, intended to feed the citizen in all of us.
