Okavango Horse Safaris started in 1986 and was the first riding safari company in Southern Africa.
We operate out of a 90,000 hectare unfenced private concession in the south west of the Okavango Delta. It's a true wilderness area where you will be fully immersed in nature and guests won't see another tourist for their entire stay. The area is characterised by the Xudum river system, wide open floodplains and beautiful forests. It's a wild, diverse area and brilliant riding country, and with only 6 tents and a maximum of 8 guests on any ride, safaris don't get more exclusive.
You don’t get much more remote than Botswana's Okavango Delta, but that didn’t stop Okavango Horse Safaris from making it into The Escape 100 for the second year running. They were the first riding safari company in Southern Africa and operate out of a 90,000 hectare unfenced private concession in the south west of the Okavango Delta. With only 6 tents and a maximum of 8 guests on any ride, safaris don’t get more exclusive. They say it’s a place to ‘live and breathe horses and nature’, it sounds amazing!
