Careers at Raleigh International

We are on a mission to inspire, empower, and equip the next generation of global leaders and active global citizens. We do this by running impactful and immersive volunteering abroad Expeditions to Borneo, Costa Rica and South Africa for young people aged 17-24. They're supported by Venturers Managers (25+).

Raleigh Expeditions are much more than a typical volunteer, gap year experience or career break. They're designed to challenge you personally and as a result develop a plethora of essential life skills. You’ll be incredibly proud of yourself and what you achieve. This is something that will stand out on your CV. Above all though, they’re fun and you’ll make the kind of friendships that last a lifetime. Whether you join as a Venturer or a Venturer Manager.

You can travel to Borneo, Costa Rica or South Africa for 5-, 7- or 10-weeks (up to 12 weeks for a Venturer Manager). You’ll volunteer on environmental and community projects in remote locations, go back to basics, detox from your phone and do an exciting adventure challenge – usually a trek.

For over 40 years we've worked with more than 57,000 Raleigh Alumni from all over the world.

You won’t just see that part of the world – you’ll ‘live’ it.

Over the past 14 years of my professional career working with many different charities / NGOs, with different goals and ambitions, Raleigh International has always stood out as one of the most progressive, positive and enjoyable organizations to work for so much so that I dropped my consultancy career to work directly with them!

I've been one of the lucky few to travel to our international offices and see firsthand some of the hard work and impact our international staff and volunteers are making on the ground. I'm a hands-on, practical type person so for me it's super important that strategy, goals, messaging and all these focus points of communication actually come through to measurable impact and change on the ground, this is by far the best thing I can take away as an employee and I'm glad to be a part of it all and see the latest change people are making across the globe.
