We are on a mission to inspire, empower, and equip the next generation of global leaders and active global citizens. We do this by running impactful and immersive volunteering abroad Expeditions to Borneo, Costa Rica and South Africa for young people aged 17-24. They're supported by Venturers Managers (25+).
Raleigh Expeditions are much more than a typical volunteer, gap year experience or career break. They're designed to challenge you personally and as a result develop a plethora of essential life skills. You’ll be incredibly proud of yourself and what you achieve. This is something that will stand out on your CV. Above all though, they’re fun and you’ll make the kind of friendships that last a lifetime. Whether you join as a Venturer or a Venturer Manager.
You can travel to Borneo, Costa Rica or South Africa for 5-, 7- or 10-weeks (up to 12 weeks for a Venturer Manager). You’ll volunteer on environmental and community projects in remote locations, go back to basics, detox from your phone and do an exciting adventure challenge – usually a trek.
For over 40 years we've worked with more than 57,000 Raleigh Alumni from all over the world.
You won’t just see that part of the world – you’ll ‘live’ it.
Raleigh International are inspiring communities and young people around the world to create lasting change. They are supporting the growth and development of young people all over the world to build not only the skills needed to thrive in the 21st century, but also responsible and thoughtful citizens who use their time to improve the lives of others. Raleigh International is tackling environmental degradation through the numerous tree planting projects they run in high impact areas, but also working to improve water and sanitation projects to level up the lives of thousands of people in some of the most impoverished places.Their commitment to the environment, the young people they work with, and their team's wellbeing is evident. They're an organisation who are empowering the next generation to build a better world, and looking after their team in the process. If you're looking for an opportunity to work on some of the most pressing issues our planet faces, surrounded by likeminded peers and inspiring young people along the way, Raleigh could be just the place for you.
