We’ve been making the elite professions more diverse since 2005. We’ve come a long way since then: today, roughly one in five Magic Circle trainees is a Rare candidate. Two-thirds of us used to be Rare candidates or Rare clients. We know that our business is changing things for the better – and we won’t be satisfied until we see race equality, top to bottom, in every employer we work for.
Data powers everything we do. Our Contextual Recruitment System (CRS) measures candidates' achievements against the classification systems we've developed. This means we can put candidates' achievements into context, and identify outperformers others miss. The CRS is hardwired into Vantage, Candid and even Hemisphere: you can search and filter by social disadvantage and academic outperformance, and even calculate whether you have a bias against people from lower socioeconomic groups.
We commission original research pieces on issues of race, class and talent. Our research uniquely combines academic heft, big datasets from our operations, and in-depth qualitative insights from our candidates and clients. Our research has led directly to the creation of new software and new candidate development programmes. It also informs the way we develop existing products and programmes.
Our mission is to end racial and social inequality and help employers recruit the best, diverse talent, powered by technology
Rare Recruitment are on a mission to help the best employers in the world build better workforces that also reflect society's diversity. And we think they are an invaluable organisation, bringing a real sense of purpose into the world of recruitment. With their software and candidate development programmes they have changed the lives of hundreds of job seekers. They’re a close team with a meaningful ethos — and you could be their newest team member.
