The team at Skills Builder are dedicated to the fourth Sustainable Development Goal - promoting lifelong learning opportunities for all. Their impact in this realm is not to be underestimated, having built partnerships with primary, secondary and SEN schools across the UK and abroad, as well as with employers from Uber to Birmingham Airport. These diverse organisations around the Skills Builder Framework - eight essential skills, which are instilled in school teaching to ensure that all children have the essential skills required to succeed in future. We seek out and lead best practice in building essential skills. This means that we take every chance to reflect, learn, improve and innovate. Our mission means EVERYONE builds the essential skills to succeed- this includes employees as well as our partners.
⛑ Employee wellbeing
Our partnership is passionate about ensuring that our wellbeing is looked after. I enjoy weekly check in meetings with my line manager, who has been nothing but supportive (both in my personal and professional life). Our CEO genuinely cares about me, and my progression. I couldn't be more proud to be an employee of this wonderful partnership.

📣 Mission & Purpose
Our guiding mission statement is that one day, everyone will build the essential skills to succeed. This is at the forefront of everything we do. It's an exciting time to work at the partnership as we are expanding beyond education settings, to work in other areas where skills can and should be developed.
📖 Opportunities to learn
At Skills Builder we really practice what we preach. We have review periods every 4 months, and these allow us to reflect on our own essential skills, and which areas we would like to develop. We then get a say in the projects/teams we want to be involved in in the future, to ensure that we have the opportunities to develop the skills we would like to.
👩👧👧 Team members
The Skills Builder Partnership is full of lovely, friendly, hard-working and motivated people. I feel very lucky to work in such a supportive team. Despite some people's roles being more senior, everyone's input is equally valued. We also have plenty of opportunities to express our thoughts and feelings about how the organization is run/improvements that could be made.
