We’re the world’s first prison-based coffee company. We provide professional coffee industry training, both inside and outside of prison with direct pathways to long-term employment.
As a social enterprise, we think differently to other specialty coffee companies; we strive for profit in order to achieve our purpose. Every member of the Redemption Roasters team has a role to play in achieving that purpose; to challenge perceptions and change lives through speciality coffee.

Redemption Roasters are on a mission to reduce reoffending rates through coffee. They believe that in order to reduce reoffending, we must employ a unique combination of specialty coffee, education, training, and support. So they opened a roastery inside Aylesbury Young Offenders Institute in 2017, and since then have expanded to roasteries in HMPs and a number of coffee shops. Their coffee is award-winning, their mission is inspiring, and if you get a chance to try one of their prison-based tours, I'd take it!
