We are working to reform informal public transport in Africa starting in Kampala. We have built a platform to connect low- and middle-income commuters (80% female) to pre-vetted mini-bus taxis operated by trained matatu drivers, using a tech-based, asset light proprietary solution. As our solution also formalises the sector and builds first-time earning records, we have supported matatu drivers in accessing medical and life insurance, as well as short-term loans.
