Exceptional talent is missed everyday: talent is equally distributed, opportunity is not. The common heuristics used to judge graduates, such as which university they attended, overlook significant amounts of genuine talent;
Exceptional training changes outcomes: the most effective learning practices are rarely used (institutions are not incentivised to invest in them), yet Bloom’s seminal educational research proved that the right methods can change learning outcomes by 2 standard deviations (or Sigmas). This is a monumental change and is at the heart of our mission.

Escape's take on Sigma Labs
Sigma Labs are doing something pretty unique in the world of people and talent. They believe that where you’re born, what you look like, or what school you went to should never limit your ambition or your potential. And they’re actively doing something about it. In 2021, Sigma Labs partnered with the Social Mobility Foundation to launch the Tech Talent Accelerator, a programme that is actively addressing social mobility and underrepresentation in the tech sector by providing opportunities to some of the UK’s most promising young talent.
