TransCap Initiative

The TransCap Initiative is a collaborative innovation space for developing, demonstrating, and scaling a new investment logic at the intersection of systems thinking and finance practice: systemic investing. We exist to improve the way sustainable finance is purposed, designed, and managed so that money can become a transformative force in building a low-carbon, climate-resilient, just, and inclusive society.

We apply the methods and tools of complex systems science, human-centred design, and mission-driven innovation to explore how financial capital can catalyse the transformation of human systems–such as cities, landscapes, and coastal zones–in service of a low-carbon, climate-resilient, just, and inclusive future. We do so through research and innovation, prototyping, and field building, and with a community of partners from the private, public, academic, and civic sectors.
