For those of you who don’t know, Drake’s Island is located just off Plymouth in Devon, UK and has had an extremely varied past. Firstly, it was used for religious services before being converted into a prison. It was then used as a military base in both World Wars and a training centre for the NAAFI, until it was abandoned in the 1980s. The island lay empty for nearly 30 years, but since it changed hands in 2019, it has been the subject of much interest and investment. How does this make it an amazing organisation to work for? They are recruiting for an Island Manager, overseeing the island's development, the projects and the teams.
