The Hertfordshire Festival of Music charity was formed in 2016 as the county's first large scale annual classical music festival. The aim is to provide a focus for the county's vibrant music culture and bring world-class musicians to perform in community locations. Local musicians and audiences can therefore experience performance opportunities and experiences that otherwise may not be accessible to them. More recently, we have introduced talks and discussion events which allow further exploration of music and the wider arts. Alongside the event programme, outreach & education projects also support the aim to involve individuals who may not normally be able to engage with classical music and access the proven benefits that can be gained from such musical experiences. Our aim is to enrich lives through the power of music, enhancing the community and supporting a sense of civic pride. In 2026 the charity will be celebrating its 10th anniversary. This will be an important and exciting milestone to both recognise past achievements and be the platform to launch into the next decade!
